Το πρώτο ζευγάρι έπαιζε για την τρίτη θέση, την οποία και τελικά κατέκτησε ο Mamedyarov, ενώ το δεύτερο ζευγάρι για την πρωτιά στο τουρνουά με τον Carlsen να επικρατεί τελικά έναντι του Nakamura.
